As I was compiling that list of sites which describe mystical experiences, I reflected on a few of the books I have read over the past couple of years. I will probly expand the following descriptions & excerpts but here goes -
Firstly, of course, is James Twyman's account of his experiences in
Emissary of Light, which is still the most magical book I personally have experienced. In fact, I'd describe the reading of that book as a mystical experience in itself. It was an absolutely effortless read and many times I felt as if I was right there alongside the author as he recounted his experiences with the Emissaries.
Secondly, I'd have to mention
Conversations with God, which is basically the story of 3 or 4 years of mystical experiences. I mean, can you imagine anyyhing more 'mystical' than asking God the MOST perplexing and infuriating questions about human experience and receiving clear, concise replies that were beyond anything you had previously thought possible.
Magic & Mystery in Tibet {added March 2002}
The Cactus King by Dimitri Gonis {added August 2001}
The Visionary Human - contains an excellent interview with Bob Monroe {added July 2001}
In Six Days - commenced June 29, 2001.
The Starseed Transmissions by Ken Carey
Ultimate Journey by Bob Monroe
The Everyday Meditator
ET101: The cosmic instruction manual for planetary evolution
Through The Narrow Gate - added April 2001
Here's a couple of scans I just did from a book entitled Absolute Happiness, in which the author describes his own experiences of expanded consciousness. Scanners do tend to make one a tad lazy. More excerpts may be on their way ...
Other books or links worthy of a mention include:
Understanding Love by William Ricketts
Dalai Lama's Little Book of Wisdom
Many of the following I have only glanced at while wandering around my local library, so I can't vouch entirely for their content ...
