A bit more reflecting on what has transpired in the past three weeks or so ... and fleetingly toyed with an old (and some would say VERY scary) notion ... in the aftermath of the WTC events, most of us switch into 'blame mode' (not to mention revenge/retaliation mode) ... I may have recorded this idea elsewhere in this journal in the past but what if there are telepathic aliens who are capable of influencing the thoughts & behviour of humans and they toy with us just for theirown amusement ... can one really then say Bin Laden or the pilots or even Mr George W are 'fully in control of their own actions' ...
Peace Pole project

'Universe' is re-screening this week ... interesting statement: 'Whenever you drink a glass of water, you are swallowing hydrogen atoms that were created in the very first instant of the big bang' ... :)
There was also an interesting discussion of the various strenghts of the forces in nature and how gravity is by FAR the weakest and one way of 'illustrating' this fact would be to push someone off a tall building - it will take a few seconds for gravity to pull them to earth but only an instant for electromagnetic forces to have a big impact ... the reason we don't fall 'through' things is the existence of thse forces ... :) Kind of reminds me of some of those scenes in the 'Matrix' ...
Speaking of which ... here are some interesting excepts form that Matrix 5 book ... explaining one view of the 'Incarnational levels of progression'
And speaking of laws ... click here - check out the one abt the fake moustache! - I first saw it from that weird site graphic on my front page ... :)
Universe & glass of water ...
A bit more reflecting ... on habits & language ... while all these tribute sites are obviously a far better response than demanding 'bombing them back to the stone age' ... there's still that phrase that surfaces over & over ... 'the people who lost their lives' ... which in itself indicates a belief that physical death is the 'end' ... how would we speak (& grieve?) if we truly saw death as walking through a door ...
Hubble deep field image - check out the 1.5 meg version!
A couple more emails ... about that Sandy McGrogor character and forgiveness versus anger & revenge ... yes, people's anger stems from 2 beliefs (a) Life is intrinsically unfair. That is, the universe is a random & arbitrary (and scary) place where terrible things happen for no good reason and (b) Death is the end of a person's existence. Challenge either (a) or (b) and the anger is less easy to sustain or indulge ...
That reminds me of something Gary Zukav said tha you can't even begin the journey while you believe that life is unfair ...
The reason you don't fall through things
The Living Edens - you couldn't afford to be vulnerable to claustrophia if you was a squirrel in these parts ... :) The photography was stunning ...
Fruit spirit botanical garden - now, this guy IS a character ... :)
{Yes, if you're ever down here in Australia during the school hols, the
ABC has some excellent stuff in stark comparison with the mind-numbing drivel one generally sees on the commercial networx ... :)
Another page worth a peek - scroll down to 'spiritual closet :)
... I had been ferreting for that Zukav quote about unfairness ...
... also found this discussion on the general theme of fairness & choices ... and I have at one time or another held most of the various views expressed ... maybe I truly am ONE with all things ... ;)
This page also popped up ...

Heard an interesting tip on radio this mornign about disabling 'active content' in your web browser & in your email program to thwart those pesky & persistent virus writers ... hmmm
Bit of a downturn in energy today after the past week or so. Not an entirely unprecedented phenomenon ... and may just be a coincidink but it comes after listening to Tony Blair talking about how it's now 'certain' Bin Laden's group is the one they're targeting ... did I miss something? how did he go from being prime (and far too obvious) suspect to being absoultely the one ... maybe I am in the middle of some bad Hollywoood movie ... everyone's reactions by & large are as if scripted ... :) ... and it need a re-write badly ... :)
Very little time online again today but a couple of interestin emails I may tell you about sometime ... if you behave ...

Yes ... 'I don't want to impress you in order to manipulate you. I don't speak for any goal to be achieved through convincing you. I don't speak to convert you into a Christian, into a Hindu or a Mohammedan, into a theist or an atheist - these are not my concerns. My speaking is really one of my devices for meditation. After a couple of emails, I looked up something I'd only glanced at (surprise, surprise) recently ...
Transmuting Fear ...
Yes, it's fine to read/meditate etc etc on this 'stuff' but when somebody ELSE is feeling overwhelmed by fear it's anothe matter entirely ... (or anger, despair etc) It's often far harder to 'handle' someone else's pain than your own ...
... and if you don't (yet) have a deep unshakeable inner conviction yourself - and few do - ... like in
Emissary of Light, where someone hits the nail on thehead by saying, 'This is what everyone is dying to hear. They've just been waiting for someone to say it with certainty' ...
... all of which gets us back to that stuff about which voice is loudest ... and which one you elect to
listen to ... :)
So ... added a couple more linkies to that page abt the WTC memorials ...

What is the point? :)
Breathing exercises - yep, we don't pay a whole LOT of attention generally to how we breathe ...

Hey, guess what ... another interesting message board ... :)

If you play the edge patterns cleverly and take note that its sole tactic would seem to be to capture the maximum no. of your pieces each move regardless of the tactical soundness of that choice ...
Yes, it's a funny game in that it's often far easier to control when you have only a few men left on the board given that each move 'flips' pieces back & forth ... :)

As I was walking home from the shops today, I thought about the images of earth I've seen lately and how really until the 1960's or so, NO human had ever seen the earth from space! Either from a satellite or from a man on the moon or from an interplanetary voyager probe or from the space shuttle etc ...
... and I reflected on those satellite views and how really the events of Sept 11 would not 'register' if you were e.g. an alien viewing earth from those satellites. In fact, all you'd see is land, water, clouds ... you'd have to speculate as to even whether life exists on the planet ... :)

The story so far ...
At some unspecified date, somebody said something about something or other. Then somebody else agreed with what had been said while others said that they disagree with it. Some other people said they niether agreed nor disagreed.
Some of those who said that they disagreed with what had been said got very worked up and tried to use any means they could dream up in order to try to persuade others around to their point-of-view. This failed, as it always does.
Then something else happened ...
