Meditation & the Hopi Way - thanx to one of Dennis links I mentioned ...
I like the symbolism of the fast-flowing river and clinging to the banks ... the experience of schizophrenia is like being in that river and many times you just have to 'go with the flow' ... :)
I decided I was so impressed by that page that I added it to my latest
random link generator ...
Also added to those random links -
Zen-Zen-Zen which has more Osho, including gibberish therapy ... :)
Well, well, well ... tongues WILL be wagging. One of those 'predictions' did eventuate. A less-than-sparkling Essendon does manage to lose to Richmond in the final round. :) With more scoring shots ... hmmm
Paddle Pops
Burke's Backyard had a cute story on lorikeets as pets :)
More Aussie greeting cards - including ... lorikeets ... :)
Pet Lighthouse site
Watched another powerful edition of 'Australian Story' this week. Must see if there is a link to the matrial they showed ... and there is one - click {provided this remains a valid link. I'd say it will for a while at least}
That page also has a link to a large number of forums from previous broadcasts which look worth a peek.
Ah ... I had forgotten ... last evening was the
10,000 Twin Hearts meditation ... I wonder how things went ... :)
I hadn't read all the details b4 - 'A special and unique concert of rare Indian string instruments and classical drums' - sounds nice ... :) as well as presents (presence?
)
Here's a little excerpt from something I found scribbled down on a scrap of paper this afternoon as I cleaned up a bit on a wet day ... it's about schizophrenia & trying to explain the differences between the conventional view one might get from one's friendly neighbourhood psychiatrist and how someone like me sees the whole experience:
... and IF this process went smoothly enough and you arrived at a restructured & expanded consciousness and a new understanding of reality then you would never be in the SYSTEM and never experience its many inadequacies. {I do wonder how many cases do in fact go smoothly in this fear-based world where any behaviour or thinking which ventures more than a millimetre from accepted 'norms' is viewed with suspicion & mistrust ...}
It must have been page two of a longer piece I was writing. I'd say that was written months ago ... when I was still struggling to put into words that which can never adequately be conveyed using tools as limited as human language ... :)
Photo Voyage to the Bandiagara cliffs - as seen on 'Global Village' this week. I seem to recall a great quote from that episode about us whiteys - along the lines of hoarding money & possessions & never seeming content ... pretty true really ... :(
Their spirituality looks interesting - click
here for a sand grid, the image can be enlarged ... :)
Some talk about clones & spirituality ... made me ask, Aren't we ALL clones in a very real sense? The differences between us are suprficial, fleeting & inconsequential. We lend them WAY too much importance & attention. The essence is the same ... :)
Yet, we do tend to focus an inordinate amount of our energy & attention on those differences. You can't judge another unless you're focusing on the differences. You can't categorise people into the 'good, the 'bad' & the 'ugly' unless you're focussing on the differences ...
Yes, one of Deepak's most succinct pieces of advice was on that
Millennial Message webcast - namely that nothing should be clung to as being 'me' or mine'. Sounds easy but look at how often we use those words ... my house ... my opinions ... my thoughts ... my bank account ... my children ... my mercedes ... my life ... my my my ...
I ought to see if that link to the 'Millennial Webcast' audio is still valid. I did transcribe bits for the forum ... now where is that?? ... Transcription of the webcast {NEED to check that next time I'm online ...}
GWBASIC ideas ... plus Javascript - I had been wondering if one can convert between the two - there must be a way ... :)
Programmer's Heaven
More of the Dogon people of Mali, including mud mosques, rock paintings as well as some interesting 'myths' ... :)
Interesting history of the boomerang
Come for a climb in the Warrumbungle National Park
ditto
I should add those and a few from recent journal entries into my
Planet Oz file ... :)
... along with this one that has some nice snaps of a familiar place,
Cape Schanck
Glow Worm Caves
From a recent email, it seems as if Banquet for the soul
is coming to Oz next year... :)
"The path of love in the search for godliness, is the path of the mad ones"
- click
Also at the same site, a rather interesting piece on 'why so-called lovers continually fight' - click
And to add to those Osho links ... Wonderfull things has a whole bunch of his stuff available for purchase ...
And on a day where I got substantial 'bonus' online time compared with my alloted usual two hours ...
add this to my 'myths abt psychiatry' page - Centre for Psychological Alternatives to Biopsychiatry ...
ooops ... looks like that animated image of the throbbing brain that I used at the top of the 'myths' page has moved ... maybe the whole site has moved? ... so, I may have to search for a replacement - it WAS a classic! :)
This site has a few but rather large ... and for some people somewhat distrubing, I'd imagine ...
Today's mantras:
- "I want people to talk to me about the federal mentionings of life"
- "You'll never solve ANY of those problems with conventional thinking"
- "Lovely world of credibility. I am walking away from the credibility of worlds."
- "He's not the messiah. He's a very naughty boy."
It's been a LONG day ... time for yours truly to go beddy-byes ...
. Good night. Sweet dreams. See you in the morning.

Testing ...
May post this to the
forum ... and I did ... as 61618
A brief trip to the library and 'Everyday Meditator' was listed as being on shelf but not really. Unless someone was reading it at the time ... so I checked out another Osho book and opened it at 'random' and photocopied that page and then left it for someone else ... click on the cropped image below -
From yesterday:
Wildflowers in California
... :)
Nice Leunig catroon, about 'Things in general' :)
Ah yes, also in the library saw another interesting book, 'Waking up alive' by Daniel Sarantidis (I think that's the spelling). I haven't heard of another book quite on that subject most of us would rather keep mum about - namely, deciding to suicide but then waking up and you are still alive. May borrow it next time I'm at the library ... I'd imagine that's one tough situation and to write about it ...
... actually, I must have got my wires crossed? ... another piece of paper suggests the author is Richard Heckler ... I'll settle it one way or another next time I'm online or next visit to the library ... if I rememeber ... :)
It seems Richard IS the author in question -
click ...
... while a search for 'Daniel Sarantidis' tosses up no results at all ... I wonder where that name came from ....
A couple of Osho searches -
'whatsoever people say about themselves'
'be totally mad first'
Take a bath ... :)
Interesting piece on Masters also mentions Osho
- add to random list & 'sites 4 sore minds' ??
"A Master doesn't have to be a Master. S/he only does it because of the sincerity of people who need a Master. A master could live just fine in an ordinary life, holding a regular job, having a boss, etc" ... or even being a 'mental patient' ... :)
In fact that site has some neat stuff - like the 'mind boggler drills' ...
More interesting (I really DO need a thesaurus, don't I!) emails - the gist of which may end up in here - tornadoes & moles & virtual reality & spring in Melbourne town & how our 'moods' often follow the meteorological fluctuations & the origins of words or phrases like 'I'm flabbergasted' & Jim Morrison & William Ricketts & meditation & how to 'plug into' higher states/experiences & body language & cleverness versus wisdom & compassion & telepathy & stuff like that ... plus children's names & personalities ... and personal & collective belief structures ...

It is interesting to see what just POPS into my head when I'm replyin to an email.
Often I wonder 'where did THAT come from' {like Deepak} ...
betty6cc.html
Yes, that Jim Morrison quote - "When others demand that we become the people they want us to be, they force us to destroy the person we really are. It's a subtle kind of murder. The most loving parents and relatives commit this murder with smiles on their faces."
Ooops ... seem that 'virtual reality' link is caput after all. May send them an email. Probably just shifted the location of the file. Pity. It was a goodie ...
So I did a bit of a seacrh for it, which tossed up a couple of site worthy of investigation
- click
As well as a search at the
Spiritweb site itself ...
Sent off an email anyway ...
Another long day and here's something from an email - about the myths of psychiatry - the name FRED BAUGHMAN plugged into Google tosses up yet more that could be added to the myths page. For example -
Futile search for ADHD Holy Grail

Found a couple of misspellings in
those links from Dennis. Well, nobody's perfect.
Specifically www.consciousbooks.com ... as opposed to www.consiousbooks.com ... the internet and computers are SO fussy ... the download page looks promising ... more & more FREE online books are appearing ... maybe we ARE evolving after all ... :)
Intersting reply already to my email enquiry abt the SPIRITWEB article ... basically the author reports that
'she developed herself further and didn't want these articles still published online' ... hmmm ...
I know the feeling to some extent - I often look back on stuff I wrote and wonder 'Did I REALLY think that at the time' ... but I thought the article was fabulous and even if she herself has moved past that point, it would be of benefit for others ... oh well ...
Pasting a few things ... I decided to check out the site where this chain image came from ...
... well, I like their OPENING screen ...
... one MORE to add to random list ... seems my work is never done ... :)
Add this? to Osho links -
Enlightened rebellion

Osho multimedia
The EGO may be dropped THIS very moment
The difference between love & compassion
Giving for NO reason
Zen manifesto: freedom from oneself
The Last Morning Star
More Pearls ...
Almost forgot. Purchased a nice dolphin calendar for two bucks this morning. :)
I scribbled down a couple of things walking home from the shops ... something about comparing your mind to a garden and anger is a weed. You can mow it down but it will grow again given enough nourishment. Or you can pull it out by the roots ... then I thought of opinions as being weeds ... or strangler vines ... :)
... not a bad visualisation for your next meditation session ...
Plus today's mantra: "My knowledge of the world has been formed on several things"

More random dialogue ...
"Actually, I'm constantly amazed that there aren't FAR more people going toally nuts. I mean this is the most ridiculous way of living anyone could possibly invent. I'm astinished enough people conform to it to prevent utter chaos ..."
"Well, the word 'should' is one I'm not terribly fond of myself. Why? Simple. Each of us has an extremely limited perception of reality whilst we are in our normal everyday consciousness. To form any solid opinions or conclusions based on such a limited input seems a bit silly to me."
"Most people's heads are full of absolute nonsense but I try very hard not to judge them for having a head full of nonsense because they probably don't know any better. This nonsense has been passed down from one generation to the next for thousands of years and few people have ever had the balls to question it ... and those that do question it seriously usually go mad or do away with themsleves ..."
"There's no need at all to apologise. I don't take anything personally. And if i do, it just means I'm having an OFF day and I'll soon get over it."
"Whenever people ask me what i think, I have to laugh. I tell them I try to think as little as possible. You'll Never arrive at the truth by thinking. Thinking can only ever take you further and further from experiencing the truth."
"I think you're right."
"I agree. Well, how about that. A chorus of approval."
Interesting fact/discovery of the day: I tossed some left-over (cooked) past out my back door and the sparrows ate it (maybe with some help from the bigger birds). Maybe they thought they were eating very lazy worms ... :)
Some Bal Natu at the Forum? ... around 61640 as I briefly poked my head in ... :)
Speaking of the forum, maybe I'm slipping back into that mode ... taking sides ... defending one person's point-of-view agst another (in my thoughts anyway) ... hmmm ... half-considered a post like: 'Namaste X. Nice to see you haven't allowed your time here at the forum to change you in any way. Keep up the good work. This dimesnion of reality needs its antagonists & agitators.
' {Their words & actions provide opportunities for equanimity & nonjugement that would not otherwise arise if we all behaved like saints all the time}
and maybe a link as IJ(['
... along these lines -
Click on the little birdie ...
And who knows, I may do just that next time ... :)
And maybe even unanimously post one of my mantras ... like 'How many careful numbers are there in a plesmocrillik world'
'The ants are my friends'
Oh yes, plus the analogy of evolution of individual & collective consciousness ... comparing it with a 5 yo (some would sy that's appropriate for the forum at times!) ... there is NO way a 5yo can really understand the theory of relativity. That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the explanation of it. But give that mind a decade or so of schooling and he/she may be able to grasp it ... unless they don't pay much attention to their lessons or develop no interest in science ... :) That sounded a LOT better in my head before I wrote it down. Oh well ...
61654 ... :)
Sent Zen manifesto: & Light Mission along to the Spiritual Sanctuary linx page ... they don't seem to have updated it in a while but that's okay, I'm sure they'll get to it in time ... :)
... along with that 'conscious books' site ... I did download their humour book and it's got some funny stuff in it and all clean too ... :)

Interesting, after skimming over latest forum entries ... visited
this page ... all about 'following' ... :) I mean if you can;t trust your inner 'guide' then what the heck do you do ... because there's any number of seemingly contradictory versions of the 'truth' out there and what to about the 'truth' ...
Then ... here's an interesting one ...
click ... I like the 'Divine Madness' page ... says what I've always suspected ... naturally, that's no definitive 'proof' or anything ...
Nice cursor effects too ... very fitting ... :)

A nice little trip to the shrinks brings up a few old themes ... though these days I'm far less fussed about trying to persuade or alter somebody else's picture of reality ... :)
Yes, the old fear reaction ... if somone is sufficiently away from the accepted 'norms' ... we worry and are suspicious ... if they can wander this far 'off track' who knows what they're capabel of ... and I suppose there is some chance a person who's a little unusual may one day go completely berserk but then so could the psychiatrist ... given their view of what affects behaviour ... suppose there's a tiny tumour inside their brain just in the area that 'controls behaviour' & judgement ... Geoff, you are wicked at times ...
Scribbled down some stuff afterward which may end up in here ... about medication & side-effects and how complex the brain is ... so in MY view, we shouldn't be messing round with it by introducing man-made chemicals to 'restore the balance' ...
We toyed with the idea of linking the pension to taking the pills ... I mean one could argue that 13 years without them means one is not as 'sick' as others ... on the other hand ... :)
... more in paul33.html ... :)
Looking at the ingredients on sauce bottles (and rememebring what Dr Weil said about fructose etc) ... I suddenly thought WHY on earth don't I make my own ... Lately I've been frying desiree potatoes in olive oil and they're yummy ... :) I could search for a nice recipe next time I'm online or just slice up some cherry tomatoes, onions, pepper, garlic, ginger & chillis ... sounds like a plan ... :) And if I use it relatively soon, no NEED for preservatives etc which you gotta wonder what those chemicals is doing to your insides ... it can be quite an eye-opener to read labels ...
Oh yes, we also discussed my 'Ideal Day Program' ... :) - I very nearly took along some photocopies ... I can always email him the story ... :)
Plus channeling as an alternative explanation of the 'voices' ... and the enormous IRONY that they may only bother with those whose minds are open, so the skeptics never experience it personally and thus will continue to scoff ... :)
Plus 1983 and those indescribable side-effects of Haloperidol - he says that nowadays the doses are way lower ... I mean one sure way to put a person OFF a medication is to cause them distressing side-effects ... which are often mistaken for the 'psychosis' ...
... and sadly, people DO kill themselves at the sheer torment of the side-effects ...

A classic encounter ... must find a link ... maybe tomorrow's Age or maybe www.usopen.org ...
6-7, 7-6, 7-6, 7-6 ... which when you look at it, would equate to 3 and a half hours for 24-24 if we had not introduced tie-breaks! :) ... and whoever emerged the winner would be so buggered for their next match ... STILL, most tennis watchers feel a bit uneasy settling things like that ...
Had a bit of a hunt around on my hard drive and I did in fact save bits of that article from Spiritweb called Life is but a game ... been a while since I read it ... okay, many other writers/mystics/channels are saying somewhat similar stuff but I like the analogy with 'virtual reality' ... or a movie ... I mean think about it, when you are totally engrossed in a great movie, that PART of your mind that KNOWS this is NOT real - it's just people playing pretends ... that aspect of yourself has been put to sleep to a large extent ... :)
Seems like Spiritual Sanctuary has added my latest suggestions. It's now becoming QUITE a list ... :)
Found some more stuff from those suggestions ...

Kundalini FAQ
The Yoga of Kundalini
well... it WOULD have been posted as 61685 but an 'internal error' occured ... :) I'm presuming t was at their end ...
Then I check a bit later and it HAS been posted - minus the wingdings! maybe it was ME who stuffed things up! :)
I was also half-intending to add to the comment about becoming attached to the experience (as in 61677 - Krishnamurti) and the 'danger' of becoming an 'expereince junkie' ... not that there's anything 'wrong' with that ... :)
On second thoughts ... I think I forgot the wingdings command - more evidence that it pays to 'Preview' b4 you post ... oh well ...

In fact, reading over THIS page again, and it's promises are even more remarkable than I had previously recalled ... 'Meditating with Holosync® audio technology creates incredible positive changes in mental and emotional health . . . amd virtually eliminates dysfunctional feelings and behaviors - even those that have resisted change with other approaches' ... why IS it that most people would read that & scoff and I even have a residual amount of that attitude 'It can;t be THAT easy, they're pulling your proverbial' ...
... and one has to wonder if all those who have done the hard yakka by meditating the traditional way might feel a bit miffed or even robbed if others can take such a short-cut ... well, not if they have done it right {think about that one

Click on the above image ... yes, pretty good timing - that paragraph & the two above it about people being 'shocked' when they perceive someone close to them as having 'really changed' ... :)
And it is a HUGE point (for God) to make ... MOST people DO spend the majority of their lives trying to please others & somehow 'live up' to the expectations that others have of them. So much so, it's all going on at some subliminal or subconscious level ... and the results are inevitably tension & resentment etc as that passage so eloquently articulates. I read something like that & I immediately think, 'Hey Geoff, shut your mouth. Keep quiet. Why bother trying to put it into your own words. That expresses it prefectly'
... and hopefully, we're not TOO far away from evolving to the next step and then we can look back on the ways we used to behave and laugh our heads off at how silly we ALL were ... :)
Nice photo album {I saw a program filmed in Keswick this morning and it looks very lovely - onew write apparently said it was 'too beautiful to live in'}
Going over a couple of things, I re-read the final paragraph on
this page ... :)
The 10 oxherding pictures :)
Interesting the things you read ... or think you read. :) I've read page 183 of cwg a number of times {and I thought I had scanned it? but it appears not hmmm ... maybe I have transcribed it into my various
excerpts
} anyway, I thought the passage spoke about 'Karma Loca' but it is 'Kama Loca' as follows:
There is an Eastern mystical teaching surrounding a doctrine called Karma Loca - according to this teaching, at the time of our death each person is given the opportunity to relive every thought ever entertained, every word ever spoken, every action ever taken, not from our standpoint, but from the standpoint of every other person affected. In other words, we've already experienced what we felt thinking, saying and doing what we did - now we're given the experience of feeling what the other person felt in each of these moments - and it is by this measure that we'll decide whether we'll think, say or do those things again.
Now, I'll readily admit it all sounds highly fascinating - and quite enlightening. :) Then I gave it a bit more mulling and I have a question or an observation, really. Surely, the way another person experiences the 'effects' of your actions or words depends ENORMOUSLY on where they themselves are at. If they are inclined to take every little thing personally, then they will truly believe such statements as 'You really hurt my feelings' or 'He MADE me so mad!' or 'Your behaviour is so annoying". If they are more enlightened or awakened they will be endeavouring not totake anything personally no matter how 'spiteful' or 'malicious' may have been the motive or intention the other person had in saying or doing them ... hmmm
... so, Kama Loca is something else for me to plug into Google next time I happen to be online ... :)
Yes, as I lay on my bed this evening, listening to Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells II, it's starting to dawn on me why the mystics say what they do the way they do. :) To the unawakened, mere words you say can ever truly convey what it's like to be 'awake' ...
Today's: "Movement. Movement. I love the movement of tiny elecrons in my brain."

... I also went to the beach for the first time in yonks ... nice early spring day, down at Carrum ... :)
Not a lot else to report, really. Then again, maybe that's a very good sign - not feeling compelled to chronicle each & every passing thought ... :)
Also saw a lovely 2002 diary of Aussie scenery by Steve Parish
... apparently his library has over 340,000 images ... wow! :)
Here is an article that refers to 'Kama Loca' as mentioned a couple of days ago ... interesting phrase! - 'doing damage to the mental furniture of mortals' ... hmmm
I really wish I hadn't said 'not a lot to report' ... because ...
... late in the evening ... it happens ... no words are sufficient but here's something I received in my email the next morning ...
Seven Days of Prayer
Right now, part of me thinks yes but another part is so numb ... it's unthinkable ...
Yes, the part of me that knows just where MOST people are at absolutely shudders at where this might all be headed with talk of 'swift retaliation' etc ...
Strangely, this past week, I have had this powerful sense of dread & unease. I thought it was just me ... and some 'wicked' dreams that seemed to be tryin to tell me something ... but WHO could have predicted this ... people fanatical enough to sacrifice themselves by flying a plane into a building ... IT still feels like a dream or something ... {which all the best mystics tell us it is anyway} ...
Also today - an email in other circumstances I'd have been more into ... from a 1st time visitor to my humble site ... all about similar experiences to mine & how meditation is a vastly better avenue than medication ...
... included an interesting quote {unsure of the origin, but as deepak says, does it really matter who-said-what}: 'We are here to witness the universe unfold, and to unfold and constantly recreate ourselvesin an origami of the soul'
I like it! origami of the soul ... :)

entries for Sept 11 also offer more perspectives. Note: if you're reading this journal of mine a few weeks or months down the track, it can be a bit fiddly to scroll back through the upwards of 61,700 entries! (as of Sept 11, 2001 - well it's Sept 12 down here in Australia but that's another story). Anyways, try to scroll back to around message # 61,750 to 61,770.
If that gets a bit too fiddly, I'll save the page and shoot it off to one of my sites ...
click here ... Note: the way the messages are listed is with the MOST recent at the top of the page. This can be confusing the first time you visit :)
{I could cut & paste to re-order the messages but I probably won't. If you're smart enough to be curious about the forum, you're probably clever enough to adjust ...}

Sombre day ... for obvious reasons ... it all seems so surreal ... and now even here half a world away from the scene, already outpourings of frustration & irrational anger ... directed at Muslim schoolkids among others ... and i really wonder if we'll ever learn ... walking around the streets I contemplated the phrase
'Love thy enemy' and what does that really mean ... and how many people would absolutely laugh in your face if you suggested it ... or they'd direct some of their anger toward you as well ... {sigh}
Watching the images and feeling drained just by it all, it reminded me of that book
A soul remembers Hiroshima ... and like so many people just trying to 'make some kind of sense' of it ...
Just checked my email and some stuff from & about Deepak ... an excellent piece called 'The Deeper Wound' ... I'll just check if his site
www.chopra.com has anything ... it did mention prayer circles at his site ...
... I did edit and post the piece to my site ...
the deeper wound ...
Yes, one sentence does stand out like a beacon:
'But if you and I are having a single thought of violence or hatred against anyone in the world at this moment, we are contributing to the wounding of the world'
Then decided to send off the seven days of prayer material to the other
crew ...
It seems almost 'indecent' to laugh right now, but
click & scroll down to 'I, on the other hand, am a human being' ... or 'I used to think that the universe is a random, chaotic, sequence of meaningless events' ... or
'My censor quit two years ago' ... :) ... plus 'Sometimes, I like to help the humans'
Oh yes, earlier in the day I scribbled down a few thoughts after listening to various callers to talkback radio & their various reactions to these events ... mainly on the question of does this shake one's belief in a 'higher power' or not ...
I maybe shouldn't record them ... some stuff about the consequences of widespread belief that our origin was 'mere chance' ... so human nature is nothing more than the accumulated effects of millions of years of genetic fluctations ... and thus there are widespread variations amongst large populations ... so it'd just bad luck that not everyone has the 'desirable' qualities of mental & emotional stability & niceness ... kindness ... and if it is all pure chance with no higher power directing it, then why would you expect anyhting better than how things are ... why would you expect human beings to have a basic 'goodness' ... in fact, one could say it's an absolute fluke that sufficient individuals possess these qualities to prevent complete chaos ...
... not to mention the very real fact that such a view of reality allows for not the remotest possibility of any REAL comfort or consolation whatsoever ...
... I mean, they ARE some good points but you'd have to say I descended into the business of 'proving a point' by attacking or belittling the way another person views reality ... it's a common trap ... :)

From the CWG email discussion group comes
this link ... another perspective on the week's unimaginable events ... click on 'When the worst case scenario happens ...'
Almost as if on cue, SHINE arrives ... they did publish
The Madman as well as
Hilarious answers on history exams ...
{I must confess witht the saturation coverage even down here in Australia half a world away, I thought I'd NEVER laugh again ...}
Glimpses of God
For more info on the egroups - click here
Another perspective ...
{MAY need to login as 'guest'}
Checking over some links ... I'd forgotten about one called 'The Great Mystery' ... now a few years ago I would have scoffed and siad the great mystery is how could anyone possibly view Tuesday's horror and reconcile that with the notion of a loving higher power ... {So, I can relate to a lot of the 'stuff' flyin about ...
The Great Mystery - as I recall, they had quite a linx page as welll ... listed under 'Kindred Sites' ...
Yet another perspective ...
click ... yes! 'You will not be able to watch the events replayed on your television, and experience your connection with your Source' ... and at some level, I know this and yet like a moth drawn to a flame ...
... in fact, may paste MORE of the forum into
this collection ...
Yes, way back pre-1999, if anyone had said to me that my anger or rage is precisely what makes the world the way it is ... now I see it as crystal clear truth but most of humanity doesn't yet see it like that ...
Reflecting on the week's events ... I remembered the words of
Jack Schwarz about such situations {scroll down to 'If the 200 million people in the United States would just spend fifteen minutes tomorrow morning - say from 9:00 to 9:15 - sending out loving thoughts to everyone in this world ...'}
Having a bit more of a read of 'SHINE' ... next time I'm online I must search out some links for it ... esp the piece that begins 'Don't find fault with the man who limps' ... and the rather poignant {& seemingly eternal} 'Why do they hate?' ...
Which is pretty much the same as one of the questions posed by the
Madman ...
"Why does man experience anger, fear and violence. And what is peace?" ... why indeed ...
Sent off a few emails, esp after adding a few links/suggestion to the
Seven Days of Prayer ...
Plus a memorable Freudian slip?? ... I wrote 'I am still in shick' in reference to the events of the past week ...
And even felt moved to post as 61806 ... :)
Then a little voice told me to also send it to the
Spiritual Sanctuary linx page ... along with a few others from recent excursions ...
So ... the 2 forums, a few emails, sanctuary, my site ... like ripples on a pond ...

Today's 'stuff' will be in here toute de suite ...
... more to paste into forum ... sep12b.htm ... the heat continues and honestly I can see all points of view but we are still by-and-large a very primitive species and generally react more from fear than love and it can seem quite absurd to say 'Love thy enemy' in such a situation ... :(
... and at some level, it's obvious that filling ourselves with anger & hatred cannot be the solution to this but how do we convince enough of the world's population to fill themselves with love rather than fear ... words sound so hollow ...
... I mean, by its very nature, you can't MAKE people behave in a loving way towards their fellow beings ...
another forum airing views on tuesday's events
Yet another comment on the day the world changed ... well, actually it will be GREAT if the world DOES change as a result of what we saw but if we enter a new era of more violence then it will be the SAME old sad world it has been for centuries ...
As some slight sense of 'normalcy' returns (half a world away from New York) ...
Gippsland lakes look lovely ...
Croajingolong National Park
Getting back to that issue of 'SHINE' ...
Don't find fault ...
One of the contributors was Frank Sterle ...
... that page includes 'Why do they hate' ...
One other atricle came from 'Long Road to Recovery {ironic timing for such a title given the events of THIS particular week!} ... click
Also an advert for TLC ...
Ah yes, there was also a bit more welcome humour -
Ten rules of housecleaning :) {Someone's been watching me, I think ...}
Plus those histroy answers {also ironic timing because ir seems NOBODY learns from our history} -
click
Frank's page is part of an interesting mental health consumer network, which includes
AESOP & some moving poetry in their newsletter to which I can definitely relate ...
Faces in the dark - I read their 'Am I crazy?' page, which makes some excellent points ... if only ...
It's the system that's crazy ...
Personal Accounts by Patients, Trainees, and Family Members
A bit more hunting around and found my Myths about psychiatric drugs is listed
here amongst others ... :)
Pasting a few links etc ... I re-read those words of
Jack Schwarz for the first time in a while ... interesting to note it's almost precisely a year ago I expressed similar doubts in those excerpts! :) Scroll down to 'Sunday morning September 24, 2000' ...
Today's mantra: "I'm not crazy - I am the nonsense of worlds!"
