Moving into stillness - sounds like an oxymoron, don't it
Nextime I'm online I ought to plug these words into google & see if they occur at that same Higher Path site ...
How good it is to you see you smile and laugh for now you have found the Fountain of Joy that has lain dormant inside – suppressed and over-ridden by interpretations of misery, belief in being “less than” deserving and the myriad of patterning, now released to allow you to experience the IAM of Laughter ...
So 'dearest heart light gaiety smile laugh lain dormant interpretations misery myriad patterning'
ought to do the trick ... {actually, the title of the piece posted was 'Fountain of Joy'}
Update: Hmmm ... no luck ... you can click here to read the text as long as that message stays current ...
Ah, it's dated July 10, 2002 ... so maybe a search of the HigherPath site ... ah, you can subscribe to the sessions via email ... that may explain why the Google search 'failed' ... oh what the heck, here's the text ... click :)

"The second commandment that Jesus referred to was not to love others instead of ourselves, but to love them as ourselves. Before we can love and serve others, we must love ourselves, even in our imperfection. If we don't embrace our own defects, we can't love others with their shortcomings." - Jim Warner, Aspirations of Greatness
If people would cease talking about past times and focus on the word containers that are sounded forth from the vocal chords, much peace would be found immediately. There would be no tales to carry, no gossip, no deceit. Imagine, if you will, the effect this type of silence would have upon the Human Ego, needing the voice of the Human Being, to carry its message to keep it enlivened and carry out its purpose. Imagine, if you will, what silence could do for expanding human awareness of the self. Noise, internal and external, detracts and erodes the ever-present voice of the Divine Presence, which is found in stillness. Yet, stillness is not applauded or encouraged. Talking is encouraged. Talking is awarded. One can receive banners and plaques commemorating one’s skill as a talker. What are all of these talkers creating? WE ask.

Dearest Heart of Light and Gaiety,
"Forgiveness is not a feeling; it is a decision. Exercise that decision often enough and the feeling will build. It is a muscle that must be developed ..."
I found it as part of a discussion at the following address. Click in the comments panel at the right hand side and scroll down to March 19, 2002
"As the poets and painters of centuries have tried to tell us, art is not about the expression of talent or the making of pretty things. It is about the preservation and containment of soul. When our images no longer have a home, a personal museum, we drown our sense of loss in pale substitutes, trashy magazines or formulaic movies."
- Thomas Moore Care of the Soul
Not one soul is to create any resemblance of religion or cult. Not one soul is to build one dwelling to create a church. Not one soul is to connect gain in any way to the teaching to the souls the knowledge which is theirs. Not one soul is to sully the origin of every one of us by anything but love, and giving freely with love. Any false teachers will be very quickly seen, for they will either have false pride, remuneration, or power over others. Any true teacher of the Way will never take - only give.

"The wonder of the totality of who you are on so many levels is going
to explode into your consciousness in a moment of time."
We are all viewing what is posted here through our filters. Everyone including you and me. That's just part of being human. I must say that I'm enjoying your posts more lately. I feel this has more to do with a change in me than a change in you (though I'm sure you have changed too). You are who you are and do what you do. Then the world interprets, judges and evaluates based on a billion past prejudices, past hurts, happy memories, associations, whatever. You can't stop the judgment of others. It's just going to happen. It's all stuff from the past and as I tried to establish a week ago, the past doesn't exist. As soon as I feel an opinion come up into my awareness, I say, "hey, I have an opinion about XYZ." I may express it or I may not express it. Either way, it's just my opinion and really doesn't mean anything when we really get right down to it. The real question is how am I being, not what are my opinions. At least for me, that's what is important. Of course that too is an opinion so I'm not going to cling too tightly to that either. The way we are being doesn't need defense. It just is. Are you being the way you really want to be. If so, then enjoy! If not, then make distinctions about what is for you and then make the choices needed to change.

This morning when you got out of bed, the very instant you opened your eyes, even before a thought entered your mind, you were free of the illusion. Yet like a computer, your mind then downloads a million bits of data into your dream consciousness. Though you actually may have awakened from another dream that seemed very real, you could consider that you might have just only changed dreams ...

This is not a time to hide in your usual excuse of "what can one person do?" A large number of "one persons" can accomplish a great deal. Becoming "cannon fodder" is not the solution. It is required that you become a much more subtle influence. Learn one truth now. Subtle energy is powerful and the most powerful energy is subtle. Your bible says, "In the beginning was the word" but words are thoughts spoken out loud, an inaccurate translation. In the beginning was thought! That is the subtle energy that we are asking you to employ. Simply change the focus of your thought. Do not allow yourself to dwell upon the horrors of what is planned for you, but turn your thought to what it is that you would prefer to experience.
You might think that if you let go of your ego world, you might become passive and defenseless like some kind of crash dummy, and people will take advantage of you. Or that you might wander aimlessly in the street without an agenda. If this were the case, as one contemporary Buddhist master pointed out, it would be necessary to have enlightenment wards in hospitals to take care of bruised or socially inoperative buddhas. But this is not the case. Rather than being inmate types, people who have become enlightened to any degree are builders of hospitals for other people. Their intelligence and compassion are relatively unobstructed, and they tend to become quite active and effective citizens.

Just remember that most misery and pain in the world has been caused by people who were convinced they were doing good. Most happiness has been caused by people who mind their own business because they are too modest to presume to know what is best for anyone else.

Remind me to include a link to Terry's webpage ... I have it listed somewhere or other ... you might try the local ABC site as he features there regularly ...

"Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer."
I made the following searches after a very dim, vague memory that he wrote thousands of verses in a 24 (or maybe 36) hour period ...
Our Hearts all want to turn our dissonances into resonances,...that's the message of Light,...to love all colours.Harmony is not what people generally feel it is. Harmony isn't being in a comfort zone, nor a diversion. Harmony isn't a balance between good and bad. Harmony is a Still pause, an interchange between duality's reality,...its like the smooth glide of a yo-yo string between those two hemispheres of duality,...the warm pleasure of waking for a moment in the morning, snuggled in bed, and drifting off again into the dream.
If we treat every of our experiences as a reflection of our belief systems, then what would someone have to believe to being having an experience that they must take a break? Beliefs inhibit our free-flowingness. They put predispositions on the nature of our river.
The question to always pose to Spirit is not how we can fix something, but how can we see it. What is this reflection, why is it disturbing us? Personally, I feel you are incrediblely lucky to be having such a grand experience.
Remember,...mi casa, tu casa.

My horizontal legs are forming a parliament on the internet. This development is always unexpected but surprising nevertheless. I seem to recall an incident in the 1500's where a man walked around with a piece of cloth tied around his waist and everone thought he was crazy. So they put him into an asylum and they all lived happily ever after. Even the robot.
